Pineparks Founder Georgi Kurotskin

“Building a product just for the sake of having one is a dead end.” Pineparks Founder Georgi Kurotskin on why businesses need technology partners, not just contractors

Writing high-quality code is no longer enough. Today, companies are looking for teams that understand business, help launch products faster, and make better strategic decisions. Georgi Kurotskin, Founder of Pineparks, shares how the software development market has evolved, why AI has become part of everyday work, and what truly distinguishes a strong technology team from an ordinary software vendor.

Many people believe that the biggest advantage of being an entrepreneur is having complete control over your own time. How true is that?

The freedom is real, but it only comes with responsibility.

In the early stages of building a business, you’re constantly juggling dozens of priorities, and there’s almost never enough time. Over time, you realize that the real goal is to build reliable processes and a team you can trust. That’s when you can focus on strategy instead of spending every day solving operational problems.

With such a demanding schedule, how do you make time for your family and yourself?

Work-life balance doesn’t happen on its own – you have to build it intentionally.

Time with my family, traveling, and staying active are just as important in my calendar as client meetings or strategy sessions.

Another principle I strongly believe in is delegation. If a founder tries to do everything personally, the business inevitably becomes dependent on one person. My goal is to build a company that performs well even when I’m not involved in every decision.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned over the past two years?

Today, speed often matters more than having the perfect plan.

Markets evolve so quickly that it’s usually better to launch a working product, gather real feedback, and improve it than spend a year chasing perfection. That principle applies far beyond the tech industry.

Is there one habit that has become your biggest strength as a founder?

Always looking at a project through the client’s eyes.

We’re interested not only in what needs to be built, but why the business needs it in the first place. Sometimes the best outcome is recommending a completely different solution that gets the client to their goal faster and at a lower cost.

If you could give one piece of advice to yourself at the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey, what would it be?

Don’t wait for the perfect moment.

Mistakes are inevitable, and the sooner you make them, the faster you’ll learn to make better decisions.

Pineparks describes itself as a technology partner rather than a software development company. What does that mean?

We don’t want to be a company that simply delivers software based on a technical specification.

Our job is to understand the client’s business, identify their objectives, and recommend solutions that genuinely support growth. Sometimes that even means advising against certain features if they don’t create real value.

Why do clients choose Pineparks?

Because we talk about business, not just technology.

Our clients don’t care about how many lines of code we write – they care about results. We focus on helping businesses launch faster, reduce costs, and discover new opportunities for growth.

What are the most common mistakes startup founders make?

The biggest mistake is trying to build the perfect product on the first attempt.

It’s much more effective to launch a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), gather feedback from real users, and improve the product based on actual data rather than assumptions.

How is working with startups different from helping established businesses with digital transformation?

Startups usually begin with an idea and are still searching for the right business model.

Mid-sized companies already have established operations, so digital transformation is about introducing technology carefully to improve existing processes without disrupting the business. The approaches are different, but the goal is the same – helping companies grow faster.

Which technologies are having the biggest impact on the market today?

Without a doubt, artificial intelligence.

The biggest shift isn’t AI itself – it’s the fact that AI enables small teams to work much faster and more efficiently. That lowers development costs and significantly accelerates product launches.

How has demand for software development changed over the past year?

Businesses have become much more practical.

Today, companies want to understand the value a project will create and how quickly it will generate a return on investment. That’s why demand for MVPs, automation, and scalable solutions continues to grow.

Should businesses be concerned about AI?

No. What businesses should be concerned about is choosing not to use it.

At Pineparks, we already leverage AI for requirements analysis, routine coding, testing, and many other tasks. It doesn’t replace developers – it enables them to focus on more complex work where human expertise creates the greatest value.

What advice would you give to companies that keep postponing digital transformation?

Don’t try to transform everything at once.

Start with one business challenge that can deliver measurable results. Once you see the impact, moving forward becomes much easier.

What are Pineparks’ goals for the coming years?

We want Pineparks to be recognized not simply as a software development company, but as a trusted technology partner that helps businesses make smarter technology decisions.

We’re continuing to expand internationally, strengthen our AI expertise, and invest in our team. However, our core mission remains the same: building products that create real value for our clients.

What trend do you believe will define business over the next few years?

Speed of decision-making and adaptability.

Technology is becoming accessible to everyone. The real competitive advantage will belong to companies that validate ideas faster, adapt more quickly, and create value for their customers sooner than everyone else.

Finally, what does success mean to you today?

For me, success is trust.

When a client comes back with another project or recommends us to their partners, that’s the strongest indication that we’re doing things the right way.

At the end of the day, every successful business is built on trust. At Pineparks, earning and maintaining that trust is what drives every project we take on.
